IKS PHOTO Collection

The IKS PHOTO collection focuses on documentary and artistic photography in Europe and the USA since the 1970s. Over the past 20 years, the IKS has been able to acquire important holdings through its continuous work with international photographers.

The speciality of the archive lies in its view on the medium itself and its development since the 1970s from documentary to artistic work. The IKS's holdings are to be preserved, but above all used in exhibitions. Through this use of the works, they are placed in current contexts and form the basis of the archive's own exhibition concepts.

The newly founded IKS PHOTO has already appeared as a cooperation partner and lender Museum at Museum for Photography Berlin, Kunsthalle Darmstadt, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, NRW-Forum Düsseldorf, Kunstsammlungen Erfurt, Mönchehaus Museum Goslar, Museum Goch and Museum for Photography Kraków.

We would be very pleased to receive a loaning request for a work from the IKS PHOTO collection.
