Daniel Meadows

Daniel Meadows (* 1952 in Gloucestershire) already came to prominence as a photographer with his 1970s series Portraits from the Free Photographic Omnibus. He drove a converted double-decker bus through 22 cities in Great Britain, taking portraits of people for free.

 

Together with David Hurn, he directed the documentary photography course at the School of Art, Media and Design in Newport in 1983. His work has been shown in numerous solo exhibitions.

 

At the IKS PHOTO Collection we hold two sets of photographs from Free Photographic Omnibus (1973-74) and SUBURBIA (1984-86).
